Memories
I am relaxing right now, enjoying an evening with Simon and Garfunkle on Detroits PBS watching their Songs in America, just showed an original version of Bridge Over Troubled Water with a documentary of the "60"s . It was shown on TV once in the late 60"s and was considered too controversial, so was mothballed until now! It was very moving watching a young Kennedy with his little children, the marches, shots of Viet Nam, Woodstock, and so much more.
.....when your weary, feeling strong, when tears are in your eyes I will dry them all......like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind.....what great memories....some of us are getting older!!

Brings back memories of how young I used to be... wow... time flies!
Kathy - It is always fun to remember the past. Thank you for sharing beautiful blog about memories.
Liz - time certainly does fly.
Kathy, that's one of my all time favorite songs. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
Hi Kathy - Brings back memories of their concert that I attended several years ago at the ACC, if I recall correctly, in downtown TO.
One of my favs from 60's and 70's. Used to have their albums and tapes. Now how is that for dating us? I don't own most of the new modern electronics like MP3 or IPod. Thanks for the memories, Kathy.
John - the older we get the more memories we have
Julie - I still have my Bridge Over Troubled Waters Album some where in the basement
Marc - PBS is a great way to see many of the old concerts again
Mary - we still have an old stereo and 8 track that Barrie cranks up every once in while when he feels a little nostalgic
Lucky you.
